University Fair connects students with transfer options
The annual fall University Fair hosted over 50 universities on campus on September 16. Students had the chance to meet with university representatives and explore future transfer options. With a lineup that included CSUs, UCs, and top private universities, students had access to a wealth of information. Students who participated in the scavenger hunt also received a free lunch and swag items.

Majors Exploration Fair connects students with career paths
Career Services and the Re-Entry Resource Program hosted the Majors Exploration Fair on September 15. The event connected students with the Learning and Career Pathway Success Teams on campus and provided valuable information about transfer options and future career paths. Students had the opportunity to explore different majors, speak with faculty and staff, and learn about the majors and programs available.

MESA community kicks off the fall 2026 semester
The fall 2026 MESA orientation on August 28 drew over 100 guests, including new and continuing MESA students, SEM faculty, tutors, and facilitators, to celebrate the start of the semester. Attendees connected with the community, explored resources, and built relationships with faculty and peers. A highlight was the SEM faculty panel with professors Aguilar, Stieber, and Mera, who shared their experiences and campus resources. The event emphasized that MESA students are supported in achieving their STEM and transfer goals. For collaboration or more info, visit the MESA webpage.

Celebrate Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month celebration kicked off last week with Lotería and treats. From salsa-making to live music, community conversations, and more, join us as we celebrate the cultures, traditions, and experiences that enrich our campus community.

Learn salsa-making techniques and celebrate the tradition of family recipes.
Wednesday, September 30 | LATINAS IN BUSINESS

Celebrate and connect with local Latina business owners.

The California November Election is around the corner. Are you registered to vote? The Cerritos College Civic Engagement workgroup encourages all students to register to vote and participate in the November 3 election. The last day to register to vote is October 19. https://registertovote.ca.gov/
