Cerritos College Performing Arts Center to Open; New Cultural Hub for the Region

WHAT: Cerritos College will celebrate the grand opening of its Performing Arts Center with speakers, band performances, and a guided facility tour on Thursday, July 14. 

The massive 84,000 square-foot structure boasts a 400-seat theater, a 200-seat black box performance area, a 100-seat large lecture and recital hall, general-purpose classrooms, a computer lab, and support spaces. The facility also houses the Music Department’s instructional labs, band and choir rooms, teaching and practice rooms, and faculty offices.  

Functioning as a cultural hub for the campus and greater communities, the new Performing Arts Center provides a creative learning environment for students in the theatre arts and music programs, and an entertainment venue for the community.
