2026 Elevate: AI. Innovation. Opportunities. Advancing Access & Opportunity for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf+ Communities
REINVENT. DISRUPT. REIMAGINE. ELEVATE.
Igniting Change for DHH Futures
ELEVATE Symposium 2026 | June 17, 2026
Now in its fourth year, Cerritos College proudly presents the 2026 Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Symposium under the theme: ELEVATE. What began as a local initiative has evolved into a premier annual gathering—a vital space where student leadership meets professional innovation to challenge the status quo in higher education.
ELEVATE is more than just a theme; it is a collective charge to rise beyond outdated, "one-size-fits-all" practices and move toward an intentionally inclusive future. Hosted by the Student Accessibility and Wellness Services (SAS) department, this symposium is a testament to community-driven design. By centering those with lived experience and inviting professionals to reflect, reimagine, and rebuild, we are creating a blueprint for systems of support that truly empower the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf+ communities.
This day-long event offers a rare opportunity for deep learning, networking, and forward-thinking visioning. Through interactive workshops and thought-provoking panels, we will explore the intersection of AI, Innovation, and Opportunity, providing you with actionable strategies and resources you can implement immediately.
Join us as we bridge the gap between tradition and transformation. Let’s elevate what’s possible—together
