SAS TESTING CENTER INFO FOR FACULTY
Important note for ALL exams and quizzes - Students must present their instructor with a current accommodations letter from their SAS Disability Specialist that includes extended testing time and/or other individualized needs** in order to qualify for testing accommodations in any course.
In most situations, you will be able to provide the accommodations directly to the student.
- For timed exams or quizzes posted on Canvas: Please extend the time allowed for the SAS student as indicated on their accommodation
letter (x1.5, x2, etc.). If you are unsure how to do this, you will find instructions
on the Canvas website.
- For exams that are proctored: Please be aware that if you are using Proctorio or another means of proctoring
your exams, some students may exhibit behaviors that flag them as suspicious. For
example, a student may stand and stretch, exhibit increased movement, fidget, and/or
engage in other calming behaviors.
- For exams that take place in a classroom: Please provide the specified amount of extra time on exams and quizzes in the classroom if you are able to do so.
