Required Course Materials For POL 101

The text you will be using for this course is Government in America: People, Politics and Policy by Edwards, Wattenberg, & Lineberry. Custom Edition for Cerritos College with MPSL package (Pearson).

You may purchase the textbok as a package from Cerritos College Bookstore or Textbooks, Inc. across the street from the college. Or you may purchase the stand alone access code from Cerritos College Bookstore or Textbooks, Inc. across the street from the college, or from Pearson when you register in MyLabsPlus.

Logging into MyLabsPlus:

  1. Go to www.cerritos.mylabsplus.com
  2. Log into MyLabsPlus using your:
      • Username = Your Cerritos College 7-digit student number. (Add a leading "0" if you only have a 6-digit number).
      • Password = Your date of birth (MMDDYY)
  3. Click on the name of your course in the Fall 2013 (Political Science) course list

Registering Your MyLabsPlus Access Code
MyLabsPlus registration is discussed in the MyLabsPlus Registration handout. The MyLabsPlus Registration Handout can be found in the "Course Home" section of MyLabsPlus (see above for login instructions).

Also, you must have a current email address on file with Cerritos College Admissions and Records to receive my email. If you are enrolled in the course and have not received any messages from me your email of record with the college is probably out of date. It is your responsibility to correct it (try My Cerritos)

Students are required to have access to a computer with an Internet connection and multimedia capabilities. You must be able to go online with the computer and watch or listen to streaming media files. A significant amount of work in this class will be done online.

Students must also have an email account to complete this course. If you do not already have an account, you can get a free email account through online services such as Hotmail, Yahoo, and Google (see www.hotmail.com or www.yahoo.com or www.google.com).
