Student team develops tools for NASA’s moon exploration

Cerritos College’s student team, Team Falcons, was selected to advance to phase II of NASA’s 2025 Micro-g NExT challenge, making it the only community college team in the nation to reach the final stage of the highly competitive event. Women's volleyball team recognized for advancing to state championships

The Cerritos College Board of Trustees recognized the women’s volleyball team during its meeting on January 15. The team reached the 3C2A State Championships for the first time since 1994, aiming to win their second state title, their first being in 1992. The Falcons delivered an outstanding performance at the championships, competing against the top-ranked Fresno City College. In an exciting five-set match that lasted nearly two and a half hours, the Falcons lost with scores of 19-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, and 19-17. The team finished the season with a record of 20-4.

Student Veterans at NatCon

Student veterans attend national conference

Over winter break, the Cerritos College Student Veterans Club (SVC) attended the 17th Annual Student Veterans of America (SVA) National Conference (NatCon) in Colorado Springs, CO. With nearly 1,600 campus chapters, the SVA supports student veterans in reaching their potential. NatCon is the largest gathering of student veterans globally, providing a platform for sharing ideas and networking with fellow students, families, and partners. For the first time, our SVC sent four students and one advisor to attend the conference.

Executive Council is excited to invite you to the official kick-off of the 2025 EC Games. This series of monthly team competitions will run throughout the Spring semester, offering an exciting and fun way to collaborate and compete amongst your colleagues.
