Toni Grijalva named Employee of the Month of February 2025
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Toni Grijalva,
community relations coordinator in Public Relations and Communications, the February
Employee of the Month.
Toni began her career at Cerritos College in 1986, and this is her third Employee of the Month award.
Toni plays a vital role in strengthening the college’s presence in the community. However, what truly sets Toni apart is the personal touch brought to her work. She goes above and beyond to build positive, lasting relationships that open doors for the college and her colleagues.
Toni is a master connector. She always knows the right people to engage and ensures that faculty and staff are introduced to key stakeholders who can lead us in the right direction. She is incredibly resourceful, proactively sharing opportunities across departments to maximize resources. Whether filling an open spot at an event to prevent missed opportunities, recruiting college staff to volunteer at initiatives like the Norwalk Education Alliance Mock Interviews, or offering her department’s table space at key events, Toni is always considering ways to support others.
