Employee of the Month for May 2025.
Through his dedication to financial aid outreach, Ismael Zepeda has made a significant impact on Cerritos College and the local community. He conducts classroom presentations, workshops, and off-campus events to ensure that students and families receive essential financial aid guidance. This year alone, he has participated in over 150 events.
Beyond logistics, Ismael creatively engages students through social media, using Instagram for updates and outreach. During Financial Aid Week, he decorated a golf cart and drove around campus, reaching even more students in a fun, interactive way.
He also helped develop a new federal work-study recruitment strategy, leading to the hiring of over 100 students who now support local elementary schools. His work has benefited departments across campus and created meaningful opportunities for students.
