Lui Amador
Lui Amador, Dean of Student Equity and Success

Dr. Lui Amador serves as the Dean of Student Equity and Success at Cerritos College and is proud to support and serve our students. Dr. Amador received his Bachelors in Politics from UC Santa Cruz, a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from Claremont Graduate University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Long Beach. Lui enjoys having adventures with his wife and children, and the head of the family, their cat Mufasa.
Dr. Shin Liu

Dr. Shin Liu is a Professor of Computer Science and Computer Information Technology at Rio Hondo College, Whittier, California. She holds a DBA in Computer Information System from Argosy University, Santa Ana, California, an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a B.A. from National University of Education in Taiwan. Dr. Liu has published and presented papers on computer information technology, distance and online education. In March, 2008, Dr. Liu presented one of her research articles at Oxford Round Table of Oxford University, England. She is a Microsoft Certified Software Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Engineer. She is currently the Trustee for Area 5, encompassing Cerritos, Artesia, segments of Lakewood, Norwalk, and Santa Fe Springs.
Jaclyn Ronquillo-Adachi

My name is Dr. Jaclyn Ronquillo-Adachi and I am professor and chair of the Psychology Department. I started my educational journey at Cerritos College then transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I attended the University of Southern California and received my PhD in Social Psychology and circled back to Cerritos College to give back and teach what I love.

Traci has been a full-time faculty member since 2001. In addition to her role as a counselor, Traci served for many years as the Instructional Chair of Counseling and currently serves as a Faculty Coordinator for Guided Pathways. She is a proud product of the California Community College system who went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Political Science at UCLA and master’s degree in Counseling at CSU, Long Beach. Traci is committed to fostering safe and inclusive educational environments in which students thrive. She strives to honor each person for who they are and believes our lives are made better by the rich diversity of our experiences, social identities, and perspectives.
Lynn Wang

Lynn Wang, Financial Aid Counselor

Dr. Lynn Wang is a financial aid counselor at Cerritos College, and who is also currently serving as the faculty union president. She was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. She immigrated from Taiwan to California at the age of 13. Being an immigrant allows Dr. Wang to be bilingual, she is fluent in Mandarin, Chinese and English. Lynn is a first generation immigrant, and college student, and an English learner.

Furthermore, she is a proud Cerritos College alumnus, then she transferred from Cerritos to UC Berkeley to pursue a BA in Social Welfare. She received a Master’s in Counseling from CSU Long Beach, and more recently, she has obtained her Doctorate from Cal State Fullerton in Educational Leadership. On campus, she is a strong advocate for undocumented and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) students.

Yiran Zhou

My name is Yiran Zhou, and I am a full-time Chinese instructor in Cerritos College. My students address me as “ Zhou Laoshi” in Chinese, meaning “Teach Zhou” in English. I teach all major courses in Chinese Program, including elementary courses CHIN 101 & 102, intermediate courses CHIN 201 & 202, and CHIN 260, a culture course offered online in English. These courses prepare students for obtaining an Associate of Arts degree in Chinese. 
 
I hold a Master's Degree in Chinese Studies (for teacher track) from Valparaiso University, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration & a Certification for Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from University of Kentucky, and a Master’s Degree in Global Studies from Missouri State University with a concentration in U.S-China relations. I have contributed a few book chapters on U.S.-China relations and Chinese domestic issues related to ethnic minorities and religion among others. I love teaching Chinese language and culture as I find fulfillment in engaging in cross-cultural communication and exchanges and promoting culture awareness and diversity on campus and in our communities.

Kristen Towhid

Kristen Towhid is a Full-time classified employee at Cerritos College since 2001. She is a Cerritos College Alumni then transferred to CSUF -earned a BA in Psychology, she was co-advisor for iFalcon and Filipino clubs over 15 years.  Ethnically she is half Thai and Chinese. She enjoys working with students and the campus community.

Jeanora Price

Jeanora Price is the International Admissions Specialist and Designated School Official at Cerritos College. She has worked with different student populations and areas within higher education, from international, first-generation students, transfer, and such more.

Additionally, Jeanora is a proud product of both the California Community system and California State University system. She went to Fullerton College where she earned her associate’s in Social Behavioral Science and then transferred to CSU Fullerton to earn her bachelor’s in Human Communication and a minor in Public Relations. She received her Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Leadership from CSU Northridge. Jeanora is a strong believer in intersectionality and celebrating one’s multiple identities as it is essential to not only combat oppression and racism but to also be advocates for marginalized groups.

Chris Dela Cruz

Chris Dela Cruz, Student Activities Coordinator

Chris is the Student Activities Coordinator at Cerritos College. His responsibilities include advising the Associated Students of Cerritos College (ASCC) Cabinet, Inter-Club Council, student clubs and organizations, and the Cerritos College eSports program. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC San Diego and Master of Arts in Postsecondary Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Student Affairs from San Diego State University. Chris serves on the board of directors of two nonprofit organizations, the California Community College Student Affairs Association (CCCSAA) and Men of Color Action Network (MOCAN). He strives to contribute to a world where disproportionately-impacted communities stand together in solidarity against all injustice.
