Public Affairs Wins CCPRO Awards

The College's Public Affairs Office was honored with first, second and third place PRO Awards by the Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) on June 10. PRO Awards celebrates the innovative and outstanding work done during the past year. Awards received were from submissions of design and projects created between January 1 and December 31, 2019.

The College won first place in the media success category with the Two Years of Free College with Cerritos Complete press conference, and third place with the Los Angeles Times exclusive story about the largest gift by woodworking alumnus. 

The team also won second place in the brochure category with the 2019 Cerritos College brochure that it collaborated with the School Relations office.

The statewide Community College Public Relations Organization is a professional development and service organization that seeks to promote excellence in California's community college public relations and related professions. The organization serves as a central resource of information and provides counsel and assistance relating to the advancement of community colleges statewide and the professional growth of its members.
