The #StopAsianHate Healing Circle and Community Conversation a Success

In light of recent hate incidents against Asian Americans, the College hosted the APIDA Healing Circle and Community Conversation on April 1. The session explored the history of Asian Americans, customs and values that may be behind these racial aggressions. Participants discussed ideas and ways to address the issue and the importance of understanding other cultures and races. Join the campus-wide dialogue as it continues.

President's Speaker Series: Self-Care

The Spring 2021 Speaker Series: A Falcon's Guide to L.I.F.E. (Learn, Insight, Focus, Empower) #4 on April 2 hosted by Amna Jara discussed 'self-care'. Interactive exercises explored the importance of self-care. Participants engaged in lively discussions and shared great ideas and tips, with all pledging to practice some forms of self-care.

Janet McLarty Featured in NASA Newsletter

Astronomy Professor Janet McLarty-Schroeder was featured in the NASA Micro-G Next Newsletter. Micro-g NExT is a NASA STEM experience that integrates undergraduate students into the technology and hardware development paths of NASA missions in support of human space exploration. Cerritos College is one of approximately 20 colleges and universities that participate in the program.

Cerritos College is a 100% Smoke & Tobacco Free Campus. The Fresh Air Peer Advocates invite enrolled students to submit their original slogan ideas and art designs to be the campus "catchphrase".
