Falcon Day 2021 Connects Our Two Worlds

The fourth annual campus-wide professional development event Falcon Day on November 5 featured the theme "Connecting Our Two Worlds." Keynote Speaker Kathy Espinoza focused on emerging from COVID-19 more resilient, creative, and hopeful with more than 125 attendees. Dr. Dilcie Perez, Alva Acosta, Sara Chavez, and Don Mueller led an insightful panel discussion on committing to a culture of care and the Caring Campus initiative. Workshops on technology, wellness, and instructional development were also held throughout the day.

*Flu shots are free for students and $5 for employees. COVID vaccine and testing are free.

Artist Xavier Cázares Cortéz's It's Hard to Listen While You Preach will be installed from November 8-20. Rendered in various typefaces, colors, and finishes, his text-based signage will manifest as posters, banners, and other types of stereotypically commercial didactics.
