Ester Rodriguez named Employee of the Month of February 2023
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Ester Rodriguez
as the recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month
Award for February 2023.
Ester began her career at Cerritos College as a short-term hourly for the Campus Police Department in 1999. In 2001 she was hired as a weekend dispatcher, and in 2009 she was hired as a Financial Aid Technician. Ester was then promoted to Financial Aid Specialist in 2014 by the Financial Aid Department.
Ester supports student success by maintaining an open-door policy. She is always willing to assist students and staff by troubleshooting challenges and finding quick solutions for any situation that may arise. Ester takes her role and responsibilities very seriously given how financial aid impacts the ability of students to pursue their degree or certificate. She gives her all to the students of Cerritos College and performs above and beyond to assist those around her in a professional manner. Ester is a team player who readily avails herself to those in need whether it is a colleague or a student.
