Nayeli Duenas named Employee of the Month of September 2023

Nayeli and her campus familyThe Outstanding Classified/ Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Nayeli Duenas as the recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month Award for September 2023.

Nayeli began her career at Cerritos College in 2015. She is a significant contributor to student success at Cerritos College, going above and beyond to serve our students daily in her role in the Counseling Department. She is attentive, resourceful, and compassionate when interacting with students. When there is a challenge in the Counseling Department, she is almost always the first person to identify a potential solution. As a result of her student-centered expertise, Nayeli has served as an integral part of the District's efforts in implementing EAB and LCP Success Teams. Additionally, Nayeli is always willing to be flexible with her time and priorities to serve the department's and our students' needs. Nayeli is a reliable, team-player who is always ready to jump in wherever needed so that the Counseling Department can assist students successfully and meet department goals. 

Nayeli, your dedication, commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of the students and staff are exceptional. The administration, staff, and students appreciate your personal attributes and outstanding efforts.
