Honor service men and women with Veterans Week activities

Cerritos College's Veterans Week festivities kicked off with a flag-raising ceremony today. Retired Marine and Senior Technical Support Specialist Erik Duane spoke about the history and significance of Veterans Day, emphasizing its origins as Armistice Day and its evolution to honor all U.S. veterans. More Veterans Week activities are coming this week, including an MRE tasting on November 5 and a film screening on deported veterans on November 6. View the flyer.

Falcon Day workshop

Falcon Day empowers employees to level up

The seventh annual Falcon Day, a campus-wide professional development event, took place on November 1. It included a variety of workshops focused on supporting student success, self-care, workplace communication, and the college's Workplace Violence Prevention Plan. Participants also enjoyed lunchtime activities such as campus trivia games and puzzle-solving competitions.

Santa's Villaged

Free Santa's Village coming to Cerritos College on December 7

Santa is coming back to Cerritos College on December 7! Everyone is invited to Santa’s Village at Cerritos College, featuring free photos with Santa Claus and Franco Falcon. Friends and families of all ages can participate and enjoy activities, including face painting, arts and crafts, games, the Taco Bite food truck, and sweet treats. Start the holiday celebrations with your friends and family at Cerritos College. Admission is free. Saturday, December 7, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building. View the flyer.

Peter Carr: Artist for Survival coming to Cerritos College Art Gallery – first comprehensive retrospective of poet, activist, and artist

The Cerritos College Art Gallery is showcasing PETER CARR: Artist for Survival, the first comprehensive retrospective of poet, activist, and
outsider artist Peter Carr (1925-1981). The exhibit is open until December 13, 2024.

The Professional Relations Committee is now accepting nominations for the Outstanding Faculty Awards! Nominate the outstanding professor, counselor, librarian, or student services faculty who has inspired you. The nomination form is now open through Saturday, November 30.

The Cerritos College Purchasing Department has released RFQ No. C25000000103 Performing Arts Center Façade Public Art Project. The request for qualifications (RFQ) solicitation is an opportunity to create a pool of qualified artists to provide the design, creation, and installation of a prominent public art project on the exterior façade of the new Performing Arts Center.
