He is passionate about sustainable energy and envisions becoming a project manager who leads innovative initiatives with significant global impact. Last November, Ruben demonstrated his leadership by participating in an exclusive Student Leadership Conference for STEM students.

Students connect classroom lessons with Chinatown traditions
Students from the Chinese Program and the Chinese Club visited Los Angeles' Chinatown to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse on February 21. During their visit, the students took a walking tour of the neighborhood, where they learned about the history, culture, and traditions of Chinese and Asian immigrant communities. They also watched the Annual Golden Dragon Parade, one of the oldest and most vibrant Lunar New Year celebrations in Southern California. The extracurricular activity helped students connect what they learned in the classroom to real-world experiences, enhancing their cross-cultural understanding and awareness.
