Father Gregory Boyle speaking at the Falcon Day

Falcon Day inspires the campus to build community through kinship and innovation

The annual Falcon Day, a campus-wide professional development event, took place on March 13. The day began with keynote speaker Father Gregory Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries, who shared a vision of community built on kinship and the idea that there is no "us and them," only "us." He encourages the campus members to go beyond simple service and instead stand at the margins to erase divisions through "affectionate awe." The event featured workshops on AI and technology, caring, diversity and inclusion, and community building, along with a luncheon, raffle, and a friendly kickball game between students and employees.

Students and reps at University Fair

Transfer Center connects students and universities

The annual University Fair hosted over 50 universities on campus on March 11. Students had the chance to meet with university representatives and explore their transfer options for the future. Featuring a lineup that included CSUs, UCs, and top private universities, there was a wealth of information available. Additionally, students who participated in the scavenger hunt received free lunch and swag items.
