"College Success Starts Now” dual enrollment campaign recognized with national honors

The Public Relations and Communications team received national recognition from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations at its 2026 conference in Washington, D.C., earning a Silver Paragon Award for the College Success Starts Now campaign. The year-long, multi-phase campaign promoted dual enrollment and the Cerritos Complete Promise Program, reaching students and families across the region through targeted digital and print outreach. The campaign contributed to a 2,000+ increase in dual enrollment in 2024-25, marking significant year-over-year growth, and reinforced the college’s commitment to expanding access and opportunities through strategic enrollment marketing.

Juan Flores breaks steeplechase record as Falcons post state leaders at UCLA Invitational

Juan Flores delivered a remarkable performance at the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival / Jim Bush Legends Invitational held at UCLA on March 28, making headlines with his historic run in the men's 3000m steeplechase. Flores crossed the finish line in 9:03.24, shattering the previous Cerritos College school record of 9:15.38 that had stood since 2007. This incredible achievement not only secured him the victory but also met the state's "A" qualifying standard, solidifying his reputation as one of the leading distance runners in California...
