Students unite in festive celebration at annual Cultural Showcase
Students celebrated the annual Cultural Showcase on Tuesday, April 14. Various booths celebrated diverse cultures through free food, entertainment, and interactive activities. performances, including a mesmerizing demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony and lively music on the Performing Arts North Stage, thrilled the audience and united the campus community in a celebration of cultural richness.

Sara Chavez named Employee of the Month of February 2026
Sara Chavez began her career with Cerritos College as a short-term hourly employee in 2000 and was hired full-time in 2019. Sara serves as a Success Coach across multiple programs, including Umoja and Puente, with a level of care, intention, and excellence that far exceeds expectations. Join the Health & Wellness Fair on April 21
The health and wellness fair will showcase the health sciences and wellness departments and student resources, including the Falcon’s Nest and Financial Aid. Alumni Panel at 11:15 a.m. in the Student Center South, with free lunch for the first 100 attendees. Tuesday, April 21, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Falcon Square. Download the flyer.

Sprout joy this Earth Day: seed giveaways and more at the Library
Check out the inspiring Earth Day display in the Library, available until the end of the month. The display was created in partnership with the founding stewards of the campus Native Plant Sanctuary, Joy Tsuhako and Anna Valcarcel. The Library is showcasing a variety of books, offering delightful coloring pages, and generously giving away native California seeds, donated by the Environmental Club. Members of the club collected the native seeds from our sanctuary. Students are embracing the joy of planting these seeds.
Free Food Distribution April 22
Walk-up-only food distribution on Wed., Apr. 22, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. in Falcon Stadium. Park in Lot 1 off Alondra Blvd. Please bring your bags, carts, etc. You'll need to carry your food back to your vehicle or to another form of transportation. Visit the Falcon's Nest webpage for details.
