Much of her work involves representations or data that translate large quantities of socially resonant information into poetic forms, including data visualization. Sara often performs within accompanying sculptural environments, or sites works within functioning everyday spaces, attempting to articulate the personal within virtual and technological innovation. Sara's art practice is informed by her work in civic technology infrastructure development, which is a constant research resource, and drives her interest in the cultural impacts of technology innovation. Sara is often 'at the table' at a range of innovative forums for dialogue around the most pressing new concerns for our technology moment. Much of her work is motivated by a desire to translate this vantage point into tangible material and live experiences.

Influenced by expeditions into both urban and remote landscapes, her work explores the proliferation of complex materials, their fascinating histories and innate exuberance.
