International Application Supporting Documents
Instructions:
After you have submitted your online application, use the Supporting Documents Upload Form to submit all required documents as .PDF, .JPEG, or .PNG files.

Note: all submitted documentation becomes the property of Cerritos College Office of International Student Services and cannot be returned.

- Full-Time F-1 applicants: students planning to attend in-person and maintain F-1 status at Cerritos College.
- Part-Time Concurrent/Visiting Enrollment applicants: students in the U.S. maintaining F-1 status at another U.S. school, who will only take a class or two at Cerritos College.
- International Online/Dual Enrollment applicants: Students planning to enroll ONLY online and remain outside of the U.S., no F-1 visa.
Full-Time F-1 Applicants:
View the detailed estimate for cost of attendance. Financial document must show USD $24,500 available funds.
Acceptable documents:
- Bank statement or bank letter from an account which funds can be liquidated (checking or savings account). Investment accounts are subject for review and approval by Cerritos College.
- Letter of financial guarantee for students who will be sponsored by their country's government.
Statement of Financial Support (if applicable):
This form should be completed by the applicant's financial sponsor (the person whose name appears on the financial document provided). Complete the Statement of Financial Support .
Submit records from the last school attended. Unofficial transcripts or copies of diplomas are sufficient unless otherwise requested.
Note: translating transcripts to English is not necessary during the initial admissions review. However, to transfer credits from a previous institution to Cerritos College, an official certified English translation and official transcript(s) must be submitted to Admissions & Records.
Any of the following may be submitted to meet Cerritos College's minimum English Proficiency Requirement:
- English Proficiency Test Score (no older than 2 years from date of application):
- TOEFL - Internet-Based 45 or 450 Paper-based. (Cerritos College Institution Code: 4083)
- IELTS - 4.5 to 5.0 overall band score
- iTEP - 3.0
- STEP-Eiken - 2A (if the score is a 2, a minimum raw score of 2150)
- Cambridge English Language Assessment - English C1 Advanced exam with a score of 180-199.
- Duolingo - 80
- PTE (Pearson Test for English) Academic - 40
- GTEC CBT - 1051
- Oxford EELT - 4 (Promo code: CCN10)
- Academic Transcripts
- High School: Demonstration that the primary language of instruction is English.
- International students who's native language is not English must have completed a minimum of 2 years of English courses with grades of C or better.
- IGCSE or GCE O-Level: Successful completion of the exam with a minimum grade of C or better in either English as a First or Second Language.
- International Baccalaureate: Higher Level (HL) score 3 or higher or Standard Level (SL) score of 5 or higher.
- US-based University or Community College: demonstration that the primary language of instruction
is English.
- International students who's native language is not English must have completed English
Composition or the ESL level directly preceding English Composition, with a grade
of C or better.

- Standardized Admission Tests: The SAT or ACT is NOT required for admission to Cerritos College but may be used
to meet the English proficiency requirement:
- SAT - 480 Evidence-based Reading and Writing
- ACT - 18 Writing
- Intensive English Program*: Students can satisfy Cerritos College's English proficiency requirement by attaining
the minimum level in one of the programs below:
- IEC at OCC: Advanced B
- American English Language School (AELS): Level 5
- American Language Institute Cal State Long Beach: Level 4
- ELS Language Centers: Level 109
- Kaplan International: Advanced
- Language Systems Institute: Level 6 and a recommendation letter
- LASC: EAP (English of Academic Purposes)
- Poly Language Institute: Level 6 and a recommendation letter
- UCI Extension – Irvine English and Certificate Programs: Level 5
*Notes: All submitted English language test results and language school levels are
subject to verification and approval by the Office of International Student Services.
A copy of your passport information and expiration page.
Required only for students transferring from US language institutes, colleges, or universities in the US in F-1 status, and transferring to Cerritos COllege
- Copy of all pages of all the I-20's you have from all schools you have attended in the U.S.
- Copy of your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) card (only applicable if you are currently on OPT)
Applicants currently in the U.S. in a different non-immigrant status (e.g. B1/B2, H-4, F-2, E-2, L), please contact the Office of International Student Services for a one-on-one appointment with an F-1 adviser to discuss your situation and receive detailed guidance BEFORE you submit your application.

Part-Time Concurrent/Visiting Enrollment Applicants:
If you are currently attending full-time another U.S. College/University and have a valid I-20 from your school, and you are planning to take only 1 or 2 classes at Cerritos College:

Please consult with your international student adviser to confirm you are eligible for concurrent enrollment & with your academic counselor to ensure that Cerritos courses will transfer to your current school.
It is the student's full responsibility to verify transfer of credits & equivalency, maintenance of full-time enrollment, and maintenance of valid F-1 status.
International Online/Dual Enrollment:
This program allows students interested in earning an IGETC Certificate for transfer to enroll online and remain abroad. This program does not issue I-20 for visa purposes. Learn more about the International Online/Dual Enrollment program.

For ONLINE ENROLLMENT (secondary school graduates):
If you have graduated from high school or attended some college, provide a clear copy of your transcripts or graduation diploma.
For DUAL ENROLLMENT (current middle/high school students under the age of 18):
- Complete the International Dual Enrollment Consent form:

- Principal/Designee – Read the entire application, upload copy of student's transcript/academic record, and sign Section II.
