Medical Insurance Requirement

All F-1 visa international students enrolled at Cerritos College are mandated and required to purchase medical insurance through the college-approved carrier. Once you are accepted, a hold will be placed on your student records and released once you purchase your medical insurance.

ENROLL TODAY: Risk Management Academic Health Plans

Newly Admitted Students: Pay for medical insurance once you have been admitted and before registration. If you are applying for an F-1 visa, purchase medical insurance after you have received approval of your F-1 visa.

Current Students: Pay for medical insurance prior to your enrollment date to avoid having a hold placed on your student record.

International students can purchase their medical insurance by credit card and enroll online.

Seeking medical attention

It is recommended that International Students first visit the Student Health Services for general medical care. The staff at the Student Health Services will provide basic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.

 Friday: 8 am to 12 pm (last patient seen at 10 am)
 Closed weekends and school holidays. Visit the Student Health Services website for summer hours.
 

For any surgical or medical problems, which are outside the scope of the Student Health Services, international students may be referred to one of the designated medical facilities below.
