Medical Insurance Requirement
All F-1 visa international students enrolled at Cerritos College are mandated and required to purchase medical insurance through the college-approved carrier. Once you are accepted, a hold will be placed on your student records and released once you purchase your medical insurance.

Newly Admitted Students: Pay for medical insurance after your academic orientation and before registration.
Current Students: Pay for medical insurance prior to your enrollment date to avoid having a hold placed on your student record.
International students can purchase their medical insurance by credit card and enroll online.
Seeking medical attention
It is recommended that International Students first visit the Student Health Services for general medical care. The staff at the Student Health Services will provide basic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
For any surgical or medical problems, which are outside the scope of the Student Health Services, international students may be referred to one of the designated medical facilities below.
