Joseph Carrillo named Employee of the Month for August 2026
The Board of Trustees honored Joseph Carrillo, Maintenance Mechanic from Facilities,
as Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month for August 2026.
Joseph has worked in the Facilities Department for the past seven years and has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a strong willingness to help wherever needed. He regularly goes above and beyond his normal job duties and is someone staff can depend on to get the job done.
No matter the task, Joseph steps in with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to supporting his fellow employees and the campus community.
One of Joseph’s greatest strengths is his wide range of skills and experience. He
holds journeyman cards in carpentry and lath and plaster and is also an experienced
welder. His diverse skill set allows him to contribute in many different areas and
makes him an invaluable asset to the college.
Joseph, your dedication, hard work, and willingness to always step up and help do not go unnoticed. You are a valuable part of our team, and we truly appreciate everything you do for Cerritos College. Thank you for always being someone we can count on.
