NORWALK, Calif. - May 27, 2020 - Cerritos College will host a virtual commencement ceremony for its graduating Class of 2020. The asynchronous event will begin on June 23, 2020 and can be viewed online any time through June 30, 2020.

The College will present 5,300 associate degrees and skills certificates to students who completed their course of study during the 2019-2020 academic year. This represents a six percent increase in the number of graduates compared to the 2019 graduating class which represents an increase of 120 percent in graduates since 2015.  Students will transition to some of the nation’s top colleges and universities, including UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, California State Universities Northridge, Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Fullerton, among others.

“Although public health concerns restrict us from holding an in-person 2020 commencement ceremony, we will not lose the opportunity to celebrate our students’ accomplishments and hard work toward finishing their educational goals, whether they have earned a degree, earned a certificate, or are transferring to a four-year college,” said Dr. Jose Fierro, president/superintendent. “This year, we are proud to host a memorable virtual event for the Class of 2020 and their families to celebrate this significant milestone.”
