Health Insurance

Health insurance is recommended for all students, but it is not required to use Student Health Services.

Student Accident Insurance is provided by Cerritos College to registered students in the event of an accident or injury during college sponsored and supervised activities.  It may help to cover medical bills incurred by injured students and athletes.  There are benefit limitations and some exclusions in the policy, so it is important to work with the Student Health Services staff to insure optimum coverage.

While extensive health services are available to you while you are enrolled and attending classes, it is highly advisable that you purchase an individual policy to protect you in instances where our services cannot.

There are a number of private companies that offer voluntary plans. Cerritos College does not specifically endorse any program, however we do feel a responsibility to acquaint you with multiple plans. Please research your options carefully before making a selection. Please evaluate as many plans as you feel necessary.
