Successful active shooter training drill enhances emergency preparedness

Cerritos College conducted an active shooter response training session on February 26 to enhance campus safety. Coordinated by the Cerritos College Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (Norwalk Station), the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and local first responders, the drill involved a campus-wide lockdown and simulated scenarios in the Health Science Building. This cooperative effort not only strengthened communication among emergency response agencies but also raised awareness about safety protocols in the community.
