Turkey giveaway volunteers

College spreads holiday cheer with turkey giveaway

Cerritos College hosted a successful Turkey Giveaway on November 24 and 25, providing nearly 200 students with turkeys, stuffing, fruits, and vegetables just in time for Thanksgiving. The event saw Downey Mayor Hector Sosa, a proud Cerritos College alum, alongside enthusiastic volunteers from New York Life who worked together to make this giveaway a success. Additionally, generous support came from corporate and nonprofit partners, including Smart & Final, Food Finders, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Thanks to the combined efforts of these partners, as well as our Falcon’s Nest staff, administration, and Foundation board members, a truly memorable holiday experience was created for our students.
