WPMD Named America’s Best Two-year College Radio Station Again

Cerritos College's WPMD radio station adds another top honor to its portfolio, earning the title of the Best Two-Year College Radio Station from the College Media Association (CMA). This is the second time WPMD has received this award since winning it for first time in 2019. Wrestling: Two State Champions Propel Falcons to Third Place at State Championships

Cerritos did celebrate a pair of state champions, with four of their 12 entries reaching the finals in their respective weight classes. In all, the Falcons had six All-Americans and placed in the top three in team scoring for the 23rd time in school history, and eighth time under the leadership of head coach Donny Garriott. Sophomore 165-pound Armando Murillo (Rowland HS), who placed third at the state championships last season, won all three of his matches to capture the state title... One of the reasons sophomore running back Davon Booth (El Monte HS) was able to rush for 1,442 yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games this season an earn 1st Team All-American, was his freshman tackle Edward Fonua (Orange HS), who joined him on the All-American list...
