Andrea Wittig named Employee of the Month of January 2023
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Andrea
Wittig as the recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the
Month Award for January 2023.
Andrea has served as Executive Assistant to the President at Cerritos College for 17 years. Andrea balances a variety of tasks and projects and is always willing to learn new things. The board and the entire campus are appreciative of the work that she does, which includes tasks such as preparing meeting agendas and helping us run the board meetings.
Andrea helps the College on a variety of legislative matters, including tracking policies and bill analysis. She enjoys digging in on a project and conducting research at all angles so that we can anticipate questions and provide thoughtful responses. She’s an active participant on a variety of statewide initiatives for the trustees and for the president. She works behind the scenes to synthesize statewide and College data so that it can be presented in friendly, easy-to-understand ways.
About a year ago, Andrea led an initiative that has revolutionized how the president and vice presidents conduct business. She developed a system that the Executive Council uses every week during its meetings. Andrea not only facilitates our weekly EC meetings, but she is a valuable contributor as well, and she helps us stay focused on the vision of the College as we identify, discuss, and solve issues.
Andrea, your dedication, commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of the students and staff are exceptional. We are proud that you are a Cerritos College employee, and we commend you for your outstanding service and dedication. Thank you for a job well done!
