Women's History Month presents women leaders in education tell their stories

Women's History Month featured our very own women leaders in the Women Leaders in Education Tell Their Stories panel on March 25. Trustees Dawn Green, Dr. Shin Liu, and Marisa Perez, Vice President of Human
Resources/Assistant Superintendent Dr. Mercedes Gutierrez, and Retired Professor and Dean of Liberal Arts Donna Miller shared their current role, challenges, and surprises/successes along the way, inspiring students to pursue male-dominated leadership roles and industries where women are underrepresented.

Community Resource Fair a success

The Re-Entry Program hosted the 15th annual Community Resource Fair on March 25. Attendees explored and learned about resources such as child care, health care, legal aid, credit counseling, services for the disabled, shelters, social services, treatment programs, foster youth services and more. Representatives from local social service and community resource agencies provided information and answered questions about their services.

The Cerritos College Foundation is hosting a Campus Day of Giving on April 2, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., by the Library shade structure. We invite all faculty and staff to stop by and support the foundation and its work toward providing scholarships, programs, and services for our students. It's time for some friendly competition before we end the school year! Sign up to compete in the annual Falcon Games: Employees vs. Students Kickball Game on April 19. If you can't play on the field, we also invite the Cerritos College community to join us and cheer on your team!
