Maribel Gomez named Employee of the Month of July 2024
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Maribel
Gomez, administrative clerk III, facilities department, as the recipient of the Outstanding
Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month Award for July 2024.
Maribel began her career at Cerritos College as a short-term adult hourly in 1998.
She became a full-time employee in the purchasing department in 2001 and transferred to facilities in 2008, where she served as an administrative clerk III.
Maribel is an asset to our campus and deserves this award and recognition. Maribel is the Queen of Keys; one example is the SEM Division, which has about 160 faculty members each semester. Maribel has always been able to quickly get the faculty in the division keyed and ready ahead of schedule. Her customer service skills are exemplary. She has a great sense of humor and is friendly, helpful, and willing to assist. An encounter with Maribel means walking away with a smile on my face.
