Retiree Manuel Mendes Recognized

Manuel Mendes and the BoardThe Cerritos College Board of Trustees recognized retiree Manuel Mendes, custodian, for his many years of service to the College on August 14. 

Manuel started working for the college in 1995. For 29 years, he has gone above and beyond in his role, often working behind the scenes, but his impact has been felt by all. He has been a pillar of reliability and excellence.

His positive attitude and willingness to lend a hand have not only made our workspace shine but have also brightened the days of countless colleagues. He has always been more than just a team member. He is an example of what it means to take pride in one's work.

"As you move on to this new chapter of your life, we want you to know how much we appreciate all you have done. Your presence will be greatly missed, but the legacy you've left behind will continue to inspire us all," said said Carlos Serna, operations manager. "We wish you joy, relaxation, and all the best in your retirement. May this next phase of your life bring you the happiness and fulfillment you so richly deserve."
