Talon Marks receives $50K from Press Forward to support local journalism
Cerritos College received a $50,000 grant from Press Forward to support local journalism. The college was selected as one of only 200 newsrooms out of 900 applications. The grant funding will allow the college’s student newspaper, Talon Marks, to publish a special magazine twice a year and build partnerships with local media outlets, community groups, and K-12 schools... Cerritos College announces successful $224 million bond sale
The Cerritos Community College District successfully completed a $224 million bond sale to fund the modernization of its 69-year-old campus while also saving money for taxpayers. The district sold $100 million in bonds from Measure CC, which voters approved in November 2022. This sale was highly popular, attracting $219.5 million in orders from 28 investors, more than double the available amount... Link to the full story about the bond sale

Ming Chung University delegation and alumni visit Cerritos College
On October 25, guests from Ming Chung University in Taiwan visited Cerritos College. Cerritos College Dean of Liberal Arts Dr. Sunny Rothstein and Trustee Dr. Shin Liu welcomed them. The visiting delegation included Dr. Lynne Lee, vice president of international affairs and industry-academia affairs, and Mr. Andy Lee, special assistant to the president and director of digital education and the Internet television center. Six alumni of Ming Chung University also joined in the discussions about potential collaborations. Dr. Lee mentioned that the university is relocating its U.S. campus from Michigan to California State University, Long Beach.
