Inspiring futures: MESA hosts engaging Undergraduate Research Panel
The Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program hosted an inspiring
Undergraduate Research Panel Session on December 4. The panel, attended by more than
30 students, informed and motivated current students to take advantage of these valuable
opportunities.
Moderated by Anamika Bawa (computer science major), four MESA students and alumni, including Ashley Ramirez (computer science major), Elvin Garcia (biochemistry major), Megan Navarrete (biology major), and Ruben Orozco (mechanical engineering major), shared their research experiences. Megan and Ruben conducted undergraduate research at USC, while Ashley and Elvin conducted their research at Stanford. Attending students learned the benefits of a summer research program and the strategies for landing these opportunities.
