John Ella named Employee of the Month of December 2025
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named John Ella,
Senior Tech Support Specialist, in Information Technology, as Outstanding Classified/Confidential
Employee of the Month for December 2025. This marks his second Employee of the Month
award. John began his career at Cerritos College in 2016, working in the Information
Technology Department as a Senior Tech Support Specialist.
His calm, patient demeanor complements his technical expertise. John is highly skilled, efficient, and always dedicated to identifying the root cause of any issue and seeing it through to resolution. Even when he receives urgent requests or faces a high volume of inquiries, he remains composed and dependable. If he is unavailable, he ensures that someone else provides immediate assistance, and he has willingly come to campus on remote workdays when in-person support was needed. His strong work ethic and commitment have resolved countless IT issues over the years, making him critical to our clinical and instructional objectives.
What truly sets John apart is his positive attitude and genuine kindness. He never makes anyone feel like a burden or inadequate for asking questions, and he always approaches each situation with a smile and a willingness to help. John brings joy to every interaction and exemplifies teamwork, service, and professionalism. He is an invaluable asset to our departments and to the campus as a whole.
