John Ella named Employee of the Month for December 2025
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named John Ella, Senior Tech Support Specialist in Information Technology, as the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month for December 2025. This marks John's second Employee of the Month award. John began his career at Cerritos College in 2016, working in the Information Technology Department as a Senior Tech Support Specialist...Link to the full story about John

College's partnership with National University featured by Community College Daily
The college’s concurrent enrollment program with National University was featured in an article by Community College Daily, highlighting the excellent opportunities community colleges offer. The partnership allows eligible nursing students to be dually enrolled at both institutions, earning their associate degree while advancing toward a bachelor’s degree. Join Spring 2026 Art Gallery exhibits; opening reception on January 28
Join us for the opening reception of three new spring semester exhibitions at the Cerritos College Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Building. Wednesday, January 28, 4-8 p.m., featuring CERRITOS COLLECTS permanent collection, WINDOW Dressing: Joy Ray, and project/room: Yarn Bombing LA. Free music concert coming to campus: A live platform for student talent and creativity
Join a free Commercial Music Showcase on Saturday, February 7, 7:30 p.m. in PAC, featuring performances by student bands The Psycho Kittens and Shade, along with a multimedia presentation of Professor Dr. Andrew Maz's new album, Terra. The event emphasizes professional development, with students managing all aspects of the production, including staging, lighting, and sound. While the concert is free, Dr. Maz’s album will be sold at the venue, with proceeds going to a scholarship fund for commercial music students.

LA Food Bank food distribution January 28
Walk-up-only food distribution on campus: Wednesday, January 28, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. in Falcon Stadium. Park in Lot 1 off Alondra Blvd. Please bring your bags, carts, etc. You'll need to carry your food back to your vehicle or other transportation. Visit the Falcon's Nest webpage for details.

The School Relations Office will host the 19th Annual High School Counselor Conference on Friday, January 30, in the Student Center. This conference is for counselors and advisors who shape students’ futures. It offers insights, campus updates, and expert advice to support their students’ college preparation.
