Psychology Club welcomes nine new members to Psi Beta national honor society

Psi Beta inducteesThe Cerritos College Chapter of Psi Beta recently inducted nine students into the national honor society for psychology in community colleges. Psi Beta memberships are awarded based on scholarship, leadership, community service, and research accomplishments. An induction ceremony was held on April 23 for the following inductees: Emiliano Barajas, Jade Lynn Garcia, Leon Basilio Mateo, Angela De Jesus Rodriguez, Joshua Ryder Salgado, Ghaleb Jiries Samawi, and Joseph Alexander Villalta.

The Psi Beta inductees at Cerritos College represent a strong combination of intellectual curiosity, compassion, and commitment to improving their community. Their focus areas include research, mental health awareness, and professional growth, which align with the college’s mission of inspiring excellence and promoting lifelong learning.

Membership in Psi Beta not only recognizes academic achievement but also provides opportunities for members to engage in national research projects, attend psychology conferences, and collaborate with faculty and peers on initiatives aimed at deepening the understanding of human behavior. This honor connects Cerritos College students with a distinguished network of scholars, empowering them to advance in the field of psychology and make meaningful contributions to society.
