Professor Miodrag Micic Discusses AI’s Role in Medicine at Croatian Symposium

Organized by the Croatian Society of Emergency Medicine and Medical Intensive Care, the event gathered healthcare professionals to discuss challenges and innovations in emergency medicine.

During the opening session on May 26, Professor Micic presented “Artificial Intelligence in General and in Medicine,” highlighting AI's growing role in medical research and decision-making. On May 27, he co-led a hands-on workshop with Prof. Ivan Gornik, focusing on how AI can enhance scientific productivity while upholding ethical research standards.

The symposium's scenic setting at Brijuni National Park served as a backdrop for discussions on the practical integration of advanced technologies into medicine. Professor Micic, emphasized, “AI will not replace clinical judgment, but it can enhance productivity and inquiry in research.” His participation underscores the importance of responsible AI use in scientific endeavors.
