Dr. Miodrag Micic appointed leader of Southern California SOLIDWORKS User Group
Dr. Miodrag “Mickey” Micic, professor and chair of the Engineering Design Technology Department, has been appointed by SOLIDWORKS to lead the SoCal SOLIDWORKS User Group, the Southern California chapter of the SOLIDWORKS User Group Network.
The SoCal group connects students, educators, engineers, and professionals using SOLIDWORKS for engineering design and product development. As group leader, Micic will organize meetings, technical presentations, and networking events covering topics like 3D modeling, simulation, and SOLIDWORKS certifications.
“This is an excellent opportunity to create a stronger bridge between Cerritos College students and Southern California industry,” Micic said. “Students will be able to meet practicing engineers, designers, and employers, learn about current industry practices, and develop professional connections that may lead to internships and employment.”
The appointment also enhances visibility for Cerritos College’s Engineering Design Technology program. Membership in the SoCal SOLIDWORKS User Group is free and open to anyone interested.
