Cerritos College Ranks Seventh Among Nation's Top 100 Community Colleges for Latinx Students

Norwalk, Calif. –  October 13, 2021 – Cerritos College is ranked seventh among the top 100 community colleges with the highest Latinx enrollment in the United States, according to the National Center for Education Statistics/Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System Department of Education database. Cerritos College is also ranked 38th with the number of associate degrees earned by Latinx students.

Cerritos College is a Hispanic-Serving Institution and boasts nearly a 70 percent Latinx student population. In 2020, Cerritos College was ranked eighth among the top 100 schools in the nation with the highest Latinx enrollment. The College was also ranked second in the state for Latinx transfers to the California State University system in 2015.

The College is recognized as one of the leading institutions for Latinx in the United States in the Top 100 Community Colleges for Hispanics issue of Hispanic Outlook magazine published on October 11.
