E-waste Collection Event Coming to Cerritos College on April 29

WHAT: The Cerritos College STEM club and Women in STEM club will be co-hosting an e-waste collection event with a student-run nonprofit organization Teens Against E-Waste on Saturday, April 29.
Community members are welcome to drop off electronic waste for free. Items accepted include computer monitors, laptops, televisions, printers, speakers, microwaves, DVD players, etc. Used batteries are also accepted, but because they are hazardous, please package them separately. The clubs are also hosting a battery drive on campus through April 28. View the collection bin locations on campus. All batteries collected through the event will be counted towards the One Million Batteries (1MB) campaign which is aimed at collecting and recycling one million used batteries.
