Cerritos Fresh Air Peer Advocates

  1. Video: Five reasons campuses are adopting a new tobacco-free policy
  2. California Department of Justice Tobacco Grant provides local public agencies funding to promote a healthier California. Cerritos College was awarded the Tobacco Grant in the fall of 2018 and is using a portion of the funding to create leadership opportunities to students by developing a Peer Advocate Program. Peer Advocates are student leaders that provide awareness, education, and respectfully encourage compliance of the Cerritos College smoking policy. Advocates demonstrate leadership, professionalism, compassion through engagement and a desire to promote and celebrate a fresh air campus.
