Club Rush promotes student clubs and campus involvement
Student Activities hosted Club Rush on January 28. New and returning students learned about the various student clubs available at Cerritos College, from academic interests to special hobbies. Students who collected some signatures by engaging with various clubs received a complimentary snack and a drink.
Erik Duane recognized for his exemplary work by Assemblyman Tri Ta
Assemblyman Tri Ta, representing California's 70th Assembly District, recognized Erik Duane, Senior Technical Support Specialist, for his outstanding contributions and achievements. Assemblyman Ta celebrated Erik’s selection as the California School Employees Association (CSEA) Member of the Year, one of the organization’s most prestigious honors. Chinese program and student club celebrates Lunar New Year at Stowers Elementary
On January 28, the college's Chinese program and Chinese Club hosted a Lunar New Year event at Stowers Elementary, a school in the community known for its Chinese immersion program. Guided by club volunteers, students in grades 1 through 6 enthusiastically participated in a lantern-making activity and received red envelopes (Hong Bao in Mandarin) containing lucky coins and candies... Connect With Counseling event welcomes students
The counseling department hosted the Connect With Counseling event on January 28. Students had an opportunity to discuss majors, General Education, transfer, student services and special programs, and Learning and Career Pathways (LCP) with a counselor.
College to conduct active shooter training drill on February 26
In its ongoing commitment to campus safety, Cerritos College will conduct active shooter response training on Wednesday, February 26, in the morning. The drill, coordinated by the Cerritos College Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (Norwalk Station), the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and local first responders, is designed to enhance emergency preparedness. The Cerritos College Purchasing Department has released RFQ No. C25000000103 Performing Arts Center Façade Public Art Project. The request for qualifications (RFQ) solicitation is an opportunity to create a pool of qualified artists to provide the design, creation, and installation of a prominent public art project on the exterior façade of the new Performing Arts Center.
