Wendy Thomas named Employee of the Month of April 2025
The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Wendy Thomas,
administrative assistant in the President's Office, the April Employee of the Month.
Wendy Thomas began her role as a Confidential Administrative Assistant at Cerritos College in October 2022.
During her colleague’s family leave, Wendy confidently assumed additional responsibilities. She successfully coordinated several high-profile events during this period, including the President’s Annual Holiday Reception, the Community Holiday Event, and the Board of Trustees Installation Reception. Her attention to detail and event planning skills ensured each event was executed flawlessly.
Beyond that, Wendy has demonstrated excellence in her role by leading the development and coordination of the EC Connect activities. Her strong organizational and communication abilities have made these initiatives highly successful and well-received by all involved. Wendy has also overseen the review and revision of 161 Board Policies and Administrative Procedures this year, showcasing her strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
