Kathy Hogue named Employee of the Month of August 2025

Employee of the Month for August 2025.
Kathy began her career with Cerritos College in 1998 as an account technician for C.I.T.E. (Community Industry Technical Education). She was promoted to her current position as Career Technical Education Coordinator in 2011 in the Technology department.
Kathy consistently goes above and beyond her job responsibilities, most recently demonstrated in her expert coordination of both the Strong Workforce and Perkins grants. She ensured that critical communications were timely and effectively disseminated across all CTE departments on campus. Her proactive planning, attention to detail, and thorough understanding of campus-wide impacts reflect an exceptional commitment to service.
Beyond this project, Kathy contributes in ways that leave a lasting impact. She routinely streamlines internal processes, mentors newer staff, and serves as a reliable resource across departments. Her work often involves solving complex problems across CTE divisions that fall outside her direct area of responsibility. Yet, she approaches every request with a collaborative spirit and an unwavering focus on student success.
Kathy also champions campus initiatives related to CTE and supports event planning efforts outside her required duties, always ensuring the smooth functioning of college operations. She exemplifies service excellence, possesses deep institutional knowledge, and demonstrates steadfast dedication to the college's mission.
