Rebecca Pang Named Employee of the Month of January 2020

The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Rebecca Pang as the recipient of the Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month Award for January 2020.

Rebecca began her career at Cerritos College in 2006 as an Intermediate Typist Clerk in counseling, in 2009 she was promoted to Program Assistant in the Adult Education Department. In 2013 Rebecca applied and was promoted to HR Technician II in Human Resources.

Rebecca is always supportive of others whether the questions are directly related to her work or not. She processes all regular new hires and sets the tone for new staff expectations for the campus. Thus, everyone on campus knows her. She is very welcoming and approachable and frequently provides guidance for others within and outside the department. Rebecca serves on several campus committees including the committee that is currently working on the murals for campus. Recently, Rebecca supported three large and active Management Recruitments that had over 45 candidates for interviews; she managed it successfully with patience and kindness.

"Rebecca, your dedication, commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of the students and staff are exceptional. The administration, staff, and students appreciate your personal attributes and outstanding efforts. We are proud that you are a Cerritos College employee and we commend you for your outstanding service and dedication," said Board President Carmen Avalos, as she presented the award to Rebecca.
