Cerritos College Honors Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employees
Cerritos College recognized outstanding classified and confidential employees for their service and mentorship to Cerritos College students, staff and faculty during a zoom ceremony on May 21.
Congratulations, Employee of the Year, America Amador, Student Health Services!
America always provides high quality work and excellent customer service. She is responsible for ordering medical supplies, vaccines and medications, monitoring campus AEDs, cleaning exam rooms, logging expiration dates for meds/vaccines, and organizing/updating educational resources. America has taken initiative to expand her knowledge beyond her MA duties within SHS by attending various professional workshops and she shares the experiences with the SHS team with enthusiasm. America has acted as the lead for the LA Food Mobile Truck food drives when SHS hosted and excelled at organizing staff and volunteers. Since the pandemic, she has been invaluable in leading the colleges clinic with ensuring the customized SHS student portal and SLO data surveys are implemented. America approaches each day with grace and a smile. Thank you for a job well done, America. Congratulations!
