Dawn Green Sworn in as New Trustee
Newly appointed trustee Dawn Green was sworn in during the board meeting of the Cerritos College Board of Trustees on Wednesday, November 16. The swearing-in was conducted by Dr. Isadore Hall III, member of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. Green was appointed to fill a vacancy in Trustee Area 2 left by Trustee Carmen Avalos’ departure and will serve the remainder of Avalos’ term that ends in 2024. Men’s Soccer Team Recognized by Board of Trustees
It was an exciting night in the Cheryl A. Epple Board Room on November16 when the Board of Trustees congratulated the coaches and athletes from the College's men’s soccer team for winning their second straight (and fifth in the last six seasons) South Coast Conference South Division championship. The Falcons are ranked #2 in the nation by United Soccer Coaches among Division III (non-scholarship) schools and #1 in the state. The team beat Bakersfield College in the Southern California Regional Playoffs' second round on Saturday and is advancing to the third round on Tuesday. Go Falcons!
Jasmin Sanchez Named Employee of the Month of September 2022

Campus Celebrates Native American Heritage Month
Cerritos College celebrated Native American Heritage Month on November 16. Students enjoyed free food, cultural performances, and fun activities. The event also provided information about available resources in collaboration with the Basic Needs Resource Fair.
