Falcon Day 2022 Empowers Employees With Professional Development Activities

The fifth annual campus-wide professional development event Falcon Day on December 2 featured the theme "Together We Soar." Keynote Speaker Dr. Jesus Corral from LA County Probation Department spoke on the importance of the College's partnership and its Court to College program in giving a second chance to troubled youth and young adults so they can turn their life around. Lunch was provided by the Culinary Arts program. Workshops on stress management, environmental impact, integrated lessons, and implicit bias were also held throughout the day.

Film Students Meet Legendary Cinematographer Richard Edlund 

The Film Production Department’s cinematography students had the opportunity to meet legendary visual effects supervisor and cinematographer Richard Edlund at the American Society of Cinematographers’ Clubhouse in Hollywood. Edlund is a four-time Oscar winner and the man behind many of the successful Hollywood visual effects on films including Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Ghostbusters, Poltergeist, Die Hard, and Alien 3... Students at Holiday Extravaganza

Students Celebrate Holiday with Crafts and Games

The Student Programming Board hosted the Holiday Extravaganza event on December 1. Students enjoyed free snacks and beverages while making holiday cards, followed by the Kahoot featuring Christmas-themed quizzes. Three top-scoring participants won gift cards. A good time was had by all, sharing some holiday cheer.

The broad and bawdy comedy/farce and modern adaptation, The Servant of Two Masters tells the story of a hungry servant who, upon realizing that working for two masters could ensure him a greater supply of food and income, tries to do the job of two men while working desperately to conceal that fact from both employers. Come to Free Informal Dance Concert on December 9

Join us on Friday, December 9 at 6 p.m. for the Informal Dance Concert where department students and studio classes present material they've been working on all semester. The informal showcase highlights students' creative work as they move through courses such as Dance Improvisation and Choreography along with dance technique classes. Additionally, it is a great time to see what our studio classes offer if you're considering taking a dance class. It will be held in Room DS 101 in the Dance Studio Building. College to Host a Virtual Community Forum on Updates to Lot at 166th Street/Studebaker Road on December 5

The College will host its annual virtual forum to update residents about changes to its property located at the 166th Street and Studebaker Road corner lot. The Cerritos City Council approved the College's Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for four years in 2017.
