Cerritos College Psi Beta Chapter receives national Excellence Award

The Cerritos College chapter of Psi Beta was honored with a national Chapter Excellence Award at the national American Psychological Association convention in Seattle in August. Psi Beta is the national honor society for psychology in community colleges. The Chapter Excellence Award recognizes chapters that have achieved the mission of Psi Beta, the professional development of psychology students at community colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service. Congratulations!

Club Rush promotes student clubs and campus involvement

Student Activities hosted Club Rush on September 3. New and returning students learned about the various student clubs available at Cerritos College, from academic interests to special hobbies. Students who collected three signatures by engaging with various clubs received a free burrito lunch from the food truck.

Connect With Your Counselor event welcomes students

The counseling department hosted the Connect With Your Counselor event on September 3. Students had an opportunity to discuss majors, General Education, transfer, special programs, and Learning and Career Pathways (LCP) with a counselor.  

Backup Utopia exhibition in Art Gallery

Cerritos College Art Gallery presents BackUp Utopia, a solo exhibition of new photo, print, video, and installation works by multimedia artist McLean Fahnestock from August 26 - October 11. The exhibition explores the representation of the American West as a paradise on earth through various artworks, including hand-manipulated scans, staged miniature prop photos, and videos.
